By the time I reached Estes Park, CO and Rocky Mountain National Park, I was ready to be home. I did explore Rocky Mountain National Park and took some incredible pictures. Then I took aim for Florida.
Somehow I hit every major city from Denver to Florida during rush hour. That was joyful. I got to Florida on Friday of 4th of July weekend. Traffic on I-75 was horrible. It was bumper-to-bumper and moving 45 mph. I was determined to make it home to southern Florida that night until some ass in a large black truck decided to try to move over into me. I blasted him the best I could with my small SUV horn. This just made him angry. He cut over behind me and was so close that all I could see in my rear view mirror was his headlights. As soon as I could, I moved over and let the dumb ass past giving him the middle finger wave. Florida drivers are the worst!
I took the next exit and found a hotel.
Early the next morning, I headed home. Traffic was still amazingly bad at 4 am in the dark and rain..somehow I made it home.
Long story short..I then had a job interview on July 8, 2016 for my real job. I was offered the job and accepted with one caveat..it doesn’t start until the end of October.
I tried, without luck, to find another travel therapy job in Florida. There were few and none that I would want. So 4 weeks after getting back to Florida I hopped a plane back to Washington. I swear I really can’t leave this state..it will be interesting to see what happens in October.
For now I am back in Washington, without a car.
